Reader's comment: A truly terrifying piece in which a young girl's life starts to spiral straight into hell in a handbasket following the arrival of a new seemingly nice teacher. But not all is as it seems and betrayals on all fronts keep  piling up at a shocking rate. Definitely a tough read, but one that emphasizes the importance of boundaries and accountability.

Reader's comment: I decided to take a look at the book In the Midst of Flames. It immediately drew me in and flowed effortlessly. I couldn’t put it down until I reached the final page. The writing and imagery are excellent. I highly recommend it, though in my opinion it’s best suited for readers aged 15 and up.
